Dead and missing after collision

The "Lindengracht" was in collision with a speedboat in the night of Oct 4, 2011, on the Maas river at Cuijk. Due to the frontal impact seven people on board the speedboat were thrown into the water. Three of them saved themselves and were taken to a hospital slightly injured. Three boaters remained missing persons, one victim was found dead inside the speedboat, coming from Gennep in the Limburg community. The fire rescue did not enter the water to search for the missing as it was too dangerous. Therefore, a sonar boat was called in and searching all night. The wounded were a 39-year-old man from Gennep, a 36-year-old man from Winterswijk and a 31-year-old from Nijmegen.
