Flottbek stuck in the Kiel Canal
On June 5, 2014, at 7 a.m. the "Flottbek", while en route from Gdynia to Rotterdam, ran into the embankment of the Kiel Canal at Oldenbüttel after having suffered an engine failure. A tug assisted the ship while it refloated itself with own power. Ferry service in Oldenüttel was hampered for two hours.
