Ferry suffered technical problems

The ''Lærdal', serving on the route Gjermundshamn - Varaldsøy - Årsnes, suffered technical problems on Feb 6, 2025. As a consequence, the service was cancelled on the morning. A passenger boat was used instead. The 'Lærdal' returned to service at 2:30 p.m., but with reduced speed.

Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble

On Sep 3, 2017 at 08:30 a.m. the "Lærdal" suffered a technical problem and had to be withdrawn from the Dragsvik-Hella-Vangsnes ferry route. The vessel was sidelined in Dragsvik for repairs. In the foremidday the whole service was down, but the operator Fjord1 was working on getting a replacement ship.

Ferry ran aground at Dragsvik

The "Lærdal" suffered technical problems when trying to dock at Dragsvik in the Sogne Fjord on Feb 20, 2016, at 9 a.m. The ferry which is serving the Dragsvik-Hella-Vangsnes in Sogn route swung around and ran aground, but it had fortunately low speed when it happened. A second Ferry pulled the ship off at 11 a.m. There were two passengers and five Crew members on board. The ferry docked in Dragsvik and the Operator Fjord1 started investigating the damage to the ferry with divers.
