Engine failure in Bosphorus

On Aug 25, 2015, at 8.55 a.m. the "Lady Hayat" suffered engine failure off Ortakoy in the Bosphorus, while transiting in northern direction. Tugs were called to assist and the vessel was taken back to the Marmara Sea and anchored off Kennedy Cd. The ship was en route from Tuzla to Novorossiysk.

Bosphorus closed due to vessel engine malfunction

A 94 metre Malta-flagged vessel, M/V Lady Hayat, on Aug. 25 suffered an engine malfunction around first bridge area during her Tuzla Novorossiysk NB transit, and the Bosphorus was subsequently closed, GAC reported.

The "Ozen K" (IMO 9103013) was in collision with the "Halil N." at Istanbul roads on June 27, 2010. The "Halil N." due to a failing engine struck the "Ozen K." and got a hole in the foreship, the "Ozen K." suffered dented railings.
