Turkey denied inspection of ship suspected to carry arms to Libya
Turkey has denied consent for inspecting the 'Kosovak'. This denial came as part of Turkey’s continued stance against foreign inspections in the region, raising concerns about potential arms shipments to Libya. Despite international calls for cooperation and adherence to the arms embargo in Libya, Turkey has maintained its refusal to grant flag state consent for the inspection of the ship which has been under scrutiny due to suspicions of carrying unauthorized cargo to Libya, a situation that directly contradicts the aims of UNSC Resolution 2292.
