Container ship entered port with whale carcass

An adult male fin whale's carcass was discovered on the bow section of the "Ever Dainty" arriving in Los Angeles von Feb 27, 2013. The visible bruising on the carcass indicated that the whale was struck by a ship. NOAA Fisheries biologist Christina Fahy, who inspected the carcass, told that the whale was alive when the ship on ist way from Coco Solo hit it. Measurements were be taken when it was towed out to sea from Los Angeles Harbor.
