Bulkcarrier saved distressed rowers

Mon Dec 25 20:29:10 CET 2017 Timsen

The rowing boat "Jan" sank during the attempt to cross the Atlantic, on Dec 22, 2017, in the North Pacific about 350 miles off Hierra. An aircraft located the two distressed rowers at 3.30 a.m. The “Kefalonia”, enroute from Tubarao to Aviles, which was 60 miles away, diverted to assist the distressed men and saved them from a life raft which was drifting close to the "Jan". The two Egyptians Omar Samra und Omar Nour had participated in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge with their 7-m-boat. Photo: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DRv8nvRW4AE8bDE.jpg
