Captain and chief engineer fined after port state control

During a port state control of the "Union Anton" on Feb 29, 2016 in Sassnitz-Mukran the police found that the oil adhesion and the wreck removal liability certificate were not on board. In consultation with the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany in Hamburg the captain had to pay a safety fine of 1,200 Euros. Also there were shortcomings in the management of the oil diary thereby violating the MARPOL convention represents and resulted in further in furhter fines against the captain and the chief engineer.
