Tanker seized during illegal fuel transfer
On July 13, 2020, the 'Diamond Z' was intercepted by the Vietnamese Coast Guard southeast of Con Dao island in the South China Sea, while transferring oil to the Vietnamese fishing vessel 'BT 99887 TS'. Both ships failed to produce documents proving the origin of the fuel, and thus they were detained and taken to port for further investigations.
Grounding off Kelemar Island
The "Team Ace" ran aground in the waters of Kelemar Island, Gersik Village, District Nasik Strait, Belitung Regency, on June 1, 2018, at 2.40 p.m. while enroute to Tanjung Emas, Semarang. The ship got stuck on a rock on the ALKI route for international shipping with a cargo of 5,613,59 tons diesel fuel. The ship had a crew of 16, all Myanmar citizens, on board and had sailed on May 30, from Singapore. The tanker arrived at Semerang Anchorage on June 25 after it was refloated.
