Wheelhouse destroyed in bridge allision
The "Jasmar", 2282 ts (EU-No.: 04808580) allided with a railway brige spanning the Wesel-Datteln-Canal between Friedrichsfeld and Oberemmelsum on June 1, 2012, at 7.30 p.m. The wheelhouse of the vessel was completely destroyed, and the Dutch wife of the master was hurt. A rescue helicopter was called from Duisburg but could be stood down after the fire brigades of Voerde, Friedrichsfeld and Spellen had arrived on scene. The ship was loaded with 950 tons Methyl.
