Tanker stuck in Cabedelo with 12 crew members being tested positive for COVID-19

Wed May 27 10:22:23 CEST 2020 Timsen

The 'Stena Premium' with 27 crew members on board has been stuck in Cabedelo since April 24, 2020 after 12 crew members were tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. All of them remained on board, and nobody was in need of hospital treatment. The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) ran serological antibody tests to determine whether the ship may be released. The tanker could be allowed to leave with infected asymptomatic crew, while those who were found not to be fully asymptomatic should be moved to a hotel.
