Groounding in Preveza waters
In the morning of Dec 10 the 'Irma S' with 21 crew members, aong them 19 Filipins, one Kazakh and one Romannian national, on board drifted aground in the waters of Preveza due to strong winds which caused the ship to drag anchor. It had sailed from Arroyo Seco on Dec 14 with a cargo of soy flour on board. A patrol boat of the Greek Coast Guard and a tug were deployed to the scene. The ship was refloated after weather improvement and berthed in Thessaloniki on Dec 28 at 7.40 a.m.
