Crew member died after falling over board
A 56 year old crew member of the 'Initia' fell over board in the Rhine-port of Strasbourg on June 2, 2020, at 12.30 a.m. and has died. He landed in the water between the dock and the ship at the Rue du Bassin du Commerce. His colleagues managed to get the man out of the water even before the fire brigade arrived with a diving crew of the Sdis. The man was in cardio-respiratory arrest. The resuscitation attempt was unfortunately unsuccessful, and he was declared deceased on the spot.
