IDEAAL
The Dutch inland water craft "Ideaal“, 357 ts (ENI-No.: 02311277), was in collision with a tank m/v on the IJssel near Zutphen in the afternoon of Mar 22, 2011. The „Ideaal“ which carried a cargo of salt suffered a leak in the engine room. The fire rescues from Zutphen, Brummen and Deventer worked more than 2 hours to keep the vessel from sinking. Only when a second, larger pump was started, the water ingress could be brought under control. The “San Antonio”, 701 ts, went alongside to stabilized the casualty.
