Bunker tanker with smoke development in engine room
The "Hydrovac 4" became unmanoeverable on the New Waterway at the West Port Quay in Vlaardingen in the afternoon of Jan 27, 2017, following a smoke development in the engine room. A boat of the RPA port service towed the tanker to a pier where the alerted fire rescue attended the ship. It was found out that the smoke was caused by a short circuit in the engine room.
