Detention in Kocaeli
The "Horus" was detained on June 30, 2025, in Kocaeli with 21 deficiencies, two of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Alarm - Steering gear alarm Inoperative 2) Water/Weathertight - Doors Not properly maintained The vessel was released again on July 3 with destination per AIS Durres, ETA July 8, and remained anchored in pos. 40° 46' 'N 029° 37' E as of July 11. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063576908591
Pirates took two crew members hostage
The 'Rio Mitong' was attacked by pirates on May 9, 2020, at 2 a.m. at Malabo Anchorage near Bioko Island in the Gulf of Guinea. Two crew members, believed to be of Russian and Ukrainian nationalities, were kidnapped. the rest of crew was said to be safe. The ship moved to Malabo Port and was berthed at 8 a.m.
