Fri Nov 04 10:03:48 CET 2016 Timsen

A Coast Guard Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew medevaced a 24-year-old man from the "Hoegh Trident" on Nov 3, 2016, 35 miles south of Key Largo. Watchstanders with the 7th Coast Guard District Command Center received notification at approximately 2:30 a.m. Thursday from the "Hoegh Trident" that a crewmember suffered back and leg injuries from a fall aboard the ship. A Coast Guard flight surgeon was briefed on the situation and recommended a medevac. Coast Guard 7th District watchstanders directed the launch of an Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter crew who arrived on scene at approximately 4:15 a.m. and hoisted the man. The man was transferred to personnel from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department at Air Station Miami and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
