Allision on the Main
On May 15, 2018, the "Herzogenburg", 1911 ts (EU-No.: 04608520), allided with a quay wall of the Main near the Friedens Bridge at Sachsenhausen in Frankfurt. The front section of the ship suffered water ingress. The cargo hold was not affected. The ship was enroute from Flushing to Orsoca with a cargo of cellulose. It was to be inspected in the East Port of Frankfurt by divers and surveyors. The police found human error to be the cause of the accident. The impact also damaged stairs at the Sachsenhausen side of the Main.
