Trawler threatened by burning nets

In the afternoon of Nov 7, 2018, a fire broke out in nets of the Panama-flagged trawlers ‚Eros II – HO 5115‘, 369 gt (IMO-No.: 8604668), which were stored on the aft of the ship in the port of Ribeira. The raging flames threatened the ‚Anita‘ which was berthed nearby. The fire brigades from Ribeira and Boiro as well as a GAEM-team managed to keep the fire from spreading. The "Eros II" ex "Furabolos" had been denied entry in European ports since 2008 and was laid up since. Only on Nov 5 it was announced that she was to be auctioned with a starting price of 29,130 Euros.
