Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
On Aug 29, 208, the "Hanøy" had to quit its service from Storkmarknes to Kaljord on the Horkland Fjord due to technical problems. The fery was sidelined in Stokmarknes. Instead, a bus was inserted by the Boreal company to carry schoolchildren, commuters and others in the afternoon. Repairs were to be completed by Aug 30.
Engine trouble needed to be fixed in yard
On Jan 27, 2015, the "Hanøy" was sent from Stokmarknes to the Marhaug slip in Svolvær after having encountered engine trouble during its service in the Raft Sound between Stokmarknes and Kaljor. The ship suffered gear trouble and the fault which appeared about one week ago needed to be repaired which could take up to four days. The "Høykongen" was inserted as a replacement ferry.
