Intruder boarded vessel at Sandakan
An intruder boarded the berthed "Hako" via the anchor chain, in position 05 48 30 N, 118 04 54 E at Sandakan, on Sep 11, 2018, at 8.15 p.m. The duty crew stationed on the forecastle deck spotted the intruder and immediately notified the master and the duty officer. The alarm was raised, and the crew made their way to the forward deck to investigate. Hearing the crew, the intruder fled the vessel and escaped in a speed boat with his accomplices.
