Tanker leaked lube oil

The "Navig8 Ammolite", which had arrived from Klaipeda ans was moored at Weymouth Bay with a crew of 24 on board, was leaking lube oil in position 50 36.352 N, 002 22.992 W on Dec 14, 2018, at 09.40 a.m. The lube oil was leaking into the stern tube. Due to the excessive leak the vessels ability to move has been restricted. No pollution has been reported. The tug "Formidable" was called from Portland to assist. The vessel was estimated to conduct full repairs within around 60 hozrs as divers were not being able to go in with the WX machine. The Solent Coastguard was in contact with local shipping agents and was coordinating the response. On Dec 16 the tug assisted thee tanker into Portland. After it moored in position 50° 34.85' N 002° 25.96' W at the anchorage in Portland, divers started the repair imminently. On Dec 16 the "Shoreline Engineer" (MMSI: 235040015) was alongside the tanker at its mooring. which was immobilised for 48 to 60 hours, whilst diving operations continued.
