Engine room fire quicklly contained
On Nov 24, 2024, a fire broke out in the engine room of the 'GSL Chloe' while preparing to dock in the port of Ningbo, en route from Shanghai. While the fire could be quickly extinguished by the crew, However, it caused disruptions in the larger Ningbo Port area due to the presence of the vessel in a position that had hindered critical passageways. On Nov 25, the ship shifted to the pos. 29° 53' N 122° 10' E, where it remained moored as of Nov 27.
