Cocaine found in construction machines

The "Grande Buenos Aires" was searched for drugs by the Hamburg police after she berthed at the O'swald Quay on July 11, 2016. Inside two construction machines the officers found cocaine. The ship had sailed from Dakar on July 4. After the drugs were found, the whole cargo was thoroughly searched without further results, causing a considerable delay of the departure which took place on July 12 around 10 p.m with Tilbury as next port of call.

The Grande Buenos Aires is the second of the four Grimaldi vessels to undergo a rudder replacement at A&P Falmouth. The precision taper line boring work on the pintle and rudder stock bores was again awarded to, in-situ machining specialists, M&A Engineering Limited. www.mandaengineering.co.uk

the "Grande Buenos Aires" on June 16, 2010, was caught by sudden wind gusts while entering the lock of the port of Le Havre and was pushed against the lock head. The ship allided with the entrance of the lock which was damaged as well as the green light upon it. The vessel itself suffered a breach of some metres length in the water line on starboard side and bumps and dents in the hull. The ship remained at the quay Bougainville until June 21 for temporary repairs and departed for Dunkirk on June 22 where it actually remains. The ship was surrounded by pontoons from which repairs are being carried out at the Quay du Douvres until June 25 10 p.m. Vessels were obliged to navigate with precaution to prevent wave impact.
