First ship unloaded in Osterrönfeld
The "Lea" was the first ship to be unloaded in the new heavy good port in Osterrönfeld in the Kiel canal on June 4, 2012. The ship came from Magdeburg on June 2 and had on board sections which were built by Enercon in Aurich for a windpark in Handewitt near Flensburg. 32 trucks carried the sections with a weight of 39,5 tons each and a diameter of 4,2 metres to their destingation. The two port cranes were not yet ready so a mobile crane had to be called for the work.
