Ferry shifted to Faaborg with a view to sale

Mon Sep 08 11:02:00 CEST 2025 Timsen

On the morning of Sep 8, 2025, the 'Fynshav' sailed from Kålby Kås on Samsø to Faaborg Harbour with a view to sale. The ferry has been moored in Kålby Kås since June 15, after acting on its old route from Nov 2024 until June 15The former 'Kyholm' was built for and served the Samsø-Sjællands route from 1998 until 2015, when it was moved to the Bøjden-Fynshav route, and then moved back as a substitute to its old route when ferry berths were to be rebuilt on both the Alslinjen and the Samsølinjen.

Stern gate did not seal

Thu Dec 26 14:03:16 CET 2024 Timsen

There were technical problems with the 'Fynshav' that was supposed to sail from Kolby Kås on Samsø to Kalundborg on Zealand on Dec 25 at 11:15 a.m. and return at 1:30 p.m. Something had broken at the stern gate. A technician was therefore on the way right now to ensure that everything is sealed. Passengers who were supposed to be on board can come on the next departures, or they can get their money back. Most people will probably prioritize leaving on the next departure, says Jesper Maack. And the next departure would b, at 3:45 p.m from Kolby Kås and at 6:00 p.m. from Kalundborg.

Ferry slammed into ferry terminal

Wed Oct 24 21:55:37 CEST 2018 Timsen

On Oct 23, 2018, the "Fynshav" allided with a pier of the ferry terminal in Bøjden. Passengers had to wait an hour to get ooff the ferry at 4.50 p.m. The ship hit the pier at low speed after powerful gust pushed the stern and end turned the ferry so it hit the quay. Using the ferry's engine power and mooring lines the ship was slowly pulled to its berth. This meant that it took about an hour before the passengers could land. Subsequently the company canceled the rest of the day's departures to Fynshav. The ferry suffered some scratches, but no one was injured in the impact. On Oct 24 at 4.40 a.m. the ferry sailed again.
