Fish farm catamaran capsized and sank
The "Fosnakallen" capsized in the evening of March 27, 2017, at the communal pier in Kyrksæterøra in Hemne. The police was alerted on March 28 at 5.10 a.m. and ensured there was no one aboard. The crew had left the previous evening. The starboard side hull was submerged, and an oil boom was laid out. In the run of the day the ship sank completely with only the mast still showing above the water at 7 p.m. Diesel was starting to leak out. The fire rescue laid out more oil booms to keep it from spreading. A mobile crane raised the wreck on March 31.
