The 'Salvamar Mizar' of the Spanish Coastguard and the 'Fortune Bell' have rescued 56 migrants aboard an unseaworthy migrant vessel at risk of sinking in the Atlantic Ocean off the southwest of the Canary Islands in the evening of April 26, 2022, about 66 miles from Fuerteventura. The 'Fortune Bell', en route from Gibraltar to Abidjan, had rescued 43 of the migrants, the majority of sub-Saharan origin, by the time the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Mízar' arrived at the scene and rescued 13 people.
