Engine damage off Piraeus
The Port Authority of Piraeus was informed, in the morning of July 18 about a damage to the 'Flying Dolphin XXIX" during its scheduled route to Aegina. The ship returned to the port of Piraeus under its own power and disembarked its 11 passengers, who were forwarded to their destination by the company. The Port Authority prohibited the sailing of the hydrofoil until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the classifier monitoring it.
Ferry suffered mechanical damage
In the morning hours of July 13, 2022, the Port Authority of Aegina was informed by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin XXIX', that, while it was moored at the port of Aegina and was being prepared to start the scheduled route to the ports of Aegina - Agistrio - Aegina - Piraeus, it suffered a mechanical failure in the port side main engine. The Port Authority of Aegina initially prohibited the sailing of the ship. After the presentation of the relevant certificates, the ship was allowed a single voyage to the repair base in Perama. The ship remained banned from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the classification society that monitors it. The passengers were forwarded to their destination by the company.
Engine trouble off Piraeus
In the morning of March 18, 2021, the 'Flying Dolphin XXIX',serving its scheduled route from the ports of Helios to Ermioni and Piraeus, suffered a damage to the starboard side main engine. The ship continued its voyage with conventional propulsion to the port of Piraeus, where the 35 passengers disembarked safely. The Port Authority prohibited the departure of the ferry until the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society.
