Ferry towed disabled motor yacht to safety
On March 23, 2020, around 8 p.m. a motor yacht of 11,3 meters length suffered engine trouble in Karmsund and was threatened to drift aground in stormy winds. A Seaking-SAR-helicopter which was just on a training flight from Sola diverted to the position. The ‘Fjordøy‘ (IMO: 9855795) managed to take the pleasure boat in tow and pulled it to Haugesund.
