Grounding on the IJssel
In the afternoon of July 17, 2018, the "Tranquilo", 693 ts (EU-No.: 02311458; MMSI-No.: 244700422; CS: PG4545), ran aground on the IJssel near Doesburg close to the local IJssel bridge. The ship, which had entered the Ijssel near Arnheim was coming from the lower Rhine. The "Castellum" along with one more barge attempted to redloat the "Tranquilo" mooring alongside both sides of the gravel loaded ship but failed. The "Tranquilo" had a draft of 2.2 meters. Rijkswaterstaat was monitoring the vessel.
