Deck cargo lost in storm
In the morning of Dec 8, 2017, the "Estland" lost large parts of the deck cargo of logs which were washed away in stormy seas off Veitsiluoto near Kemoff the Kemi. The Finnish Maritime Transport Center at the Finnish Transport Agency warned the maritime traffic about the driftwood about 0,5 miles NW of the Keminkraasel lighthouse and asked for caution in the area. The ship had on board a total of 1,500 cubic meters and had sailed from Kemi at 4.30 a.m. bound to Kotka, ETA Dec 10.
