Repairs of grounding damage completed
On April 29, the "Fostaborg" which had suffered considerable damage on April 1 in its grounding on a asandbar south of Nes, was due to return to service between Ameland and Holwerd after repairs were completed. The ship had got stuck because the fairway buoys were not in the right place.
Water taxi suffered techincal damage
The "Fostaborg" was withdrawn from the Ameland-Holwerd service by the Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten on Apr 1, 2019, due to technical problems. Already in 2018 the water taxi had a number of yard stays. It was not expected that the "Fostaborg" would return before April 11.
