The 'ES Spirit' was arrested in Singapore waters on Feb 29, 2024. The vessel was added to the list of vessels under Sheriff’s arrest in Singapore’s court system. The vessel was arrested at 12.24 p.m. The arresting solicitor listed was law firm Oon & Bazul LLP. The ship was being held at Singapore’s Western Petroleum Anchorage A. No details regarding the reason behind the arrest were provided. The tanker was arrested in Singapore waters on Jan 2 too. The arresting solicitor listed was also Oon & Bazul LLP.

The 'ES Right' was detained in Singapore by a local court on Jan 2, 2024. The reasons behind the detention were involving disputes over the paymentof goods and services related to the running of the tanker, which moored on the Singapore East Anchorage on Jan 1. Two marine services companie were behind the arrest warrant, the Shanghai Alliance Marine Service Co. and the Hong Kong Richmarine Service Co., which was issued after the vessel dropped anchor in th port en route from Haldia. The two companies, represented by the law firm Oon & Bazul, have jointly claimed 607,000 dollars against the tanker. The ship was still moored in pos. 01 17 20 N, 103 55 08 E, about 3,1 nautical miles from the Singapore East Anchorage as of Jan 12.
