Epic Gas Completes Acquisition of LPG Carrier Kris Kin

Epic Gas Ltd., the leading LPG shipping solutions company, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of two of the four ships that it previously referenced in April 2019. The vessels, the Kahyasi and Kris Kin, , are all modern second-hand 11,000cbm Japanese-built pressurised LPG carriers that were built in 2015.

Ship suffered engine piston trouble

The "Kris Kin", enrute from Mombasa, suffered engine piston problems off the South African East coast near Cape St. Lucia on April 14, 2019, and went adrift with 2,4 knots in position 27 05 07 S, 34 36 18 E. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel headed to Richards Bay Anchorage, where it moored in pos. 28° 57.05' S 032° 8.12' E on April 17 at 8.30 p.m.
