Mon Aug 02 11:16:00 CEST 2021 Timsen

Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) rescued the crew of the sinking cargo ship 'Suvari H' on July 31, 2021, about 180 nautical miles south of Karachi. The ship had been caught in a storm while carrying cargo from India to Somalia. The 'Elan Vital' received a distress call, and five crew members were immediately rescued. the Pakistan Navy was notified and deployed a surveillance aircraft as well as a PMSA aircraft and a ship to the site. Rescuers initially identified eight crew members and five more were later rescued with the help of a life raft. Another nearby ship, the tanker 'Desh Abhimaan', helped rescue another five members.
