Sun Sep 29 11:52:39 CEST 2019 Timsen

The 'Eems Dart' had to interrupt her voyage from Rouen, where she had sailed on Sep 27, to Dogheda and divert to Cherbourg, after the crew found eight Albanian stowaways hidden in the engine room on Sep 28, 2019, at 8.15 a.m. The ship arrived at Cherbourgat 12.20 p.m. where the migrants were met by the gendarmerie and marine police and taken ashore. The 'Eems Dart' left Cherbourg and resumed her voyage short time later with an ETA as of Sep 30, 3 p.m. Frenc report with photo: http://www.premar-manche.gouv.fr/communiques-presse/operation-d-evacuation-de-8-clandestins-decouverts-sur-un-cargo

Medevac off Rotterdam

Wed Aug 09 09:25:58 CEST 2017 Timsen

On Aug 8, 2017, at 8.50 a.m. the "Eems Dart" alerted the Dutch Coastguard after a 35 year old Russian crew member needed treatment in hospital. The man had more than 39º fever since the previous morning and seemed to have trouble with his bile. The "Eems Dart" was anchored near the Goeree. The KNRM was alerted, and the patient boarded the lifeboat "Jeanine Parqui" at 9.45 a.m. The return trip went smoothly and the patient even seemed to get rid of his pain. After arriving at the Berg Port at 10.15 a.m., the man was taken to Rotterdam's Port Hospital in Rotterdam for further treatment.
