Containers fell into cargo hold

On Oct 29, 2018, at 4.20 a.m. two containers fell into the cargo hold of the "Sven" at the Noatum Terminal in Malaga. The accident happened during discharge operation when the two 20' boxes crashed into the cargo hold located in bay 18 row 04 tier 02. It was caused by a negligence of the STS crane operator who did not change the spreader on twinmode once having discharged 40' units.

On Feb 6 at 00.30 a.m. the "Sven" allided with a quay in the Danish port Fredericia while berthing. The bulbous bow suffered massive damage in the incident. The ship proceeded to Aarhus the same day and departed from there at 5.30 p.m. after a repair place was found in Bremerhaven. It passed the Kiel canal without cargo on Feb 7 and reached Bremerhaven at 5.30 p.m. that day for docking at the Bredo Yard.
