DONG-A RHEA 9035424
The "African Lion"’s anchor chain, which had been seriously wrapped around the "Dong A Rhea"'s propeller, was successfully removed by Subtech Diving and marine. The divers battling a strong current and 2,5 m swells eventually managed to cut off the chain using Broco underwater cutting equipment. The vessel on Feb 8 around 7 p.m. entered the port of Richards Bay and berthed at the Bulk and Coal Quay to carry out repairs.
