Tanker seized for drug trafficking
In the afternoon of Sep 12, 2019, the "Don Juan" was detained in La Paz, Argentine, for spuspicion of drug trafficking. Officials of the naval prefecture searched the ship and seized mobile phones, note blocks, laptops, suitcases, bags and other items. As a result, the investigation with drug detection dogs raised the suspicion that possibly narcotics had been hidden in the area of the bow. Because of this situation, Judge Néstor Barral ordered the arrest of all crew members. The tanker was enroute to Buenos Aires to load fuel bound to Paraguay.
