Ferry still aground more than four months after grounding
The 'Dolly C' was captured aground and flooded at Pte-Salines, Grenada, the bay near the west end of the Maurice Bishop International Airport, on July 15 2025. The ship had run aground on March 7, en route from Trinidad, A meeting was held at the NaDMA Operations Centre on March 11, to discuss the situation and establish a plan of action to salvage the vessel. Ferry sidelined for technical issues
On July 31, 2016, the "Salangen" suffered technical problems and was taken out of the service between Hansnes and Stakkvik due to the problems with the starter engine. The ferry was expected back in service in the afternoon of Aug 1 at the earliest.
