Houthi terrorists claimed several ship attacks

Sun Jun 30 18:00:33 CEST 2024 Timsen

The British maritime security agency, United Kingdom Trade Operations (UKMTO), reported an attack on the 'Delonix' in the Red Sea on June 28, 2024. The Houthis also claimed attacking four vessels in the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea. The tanker was targeted 150 nautical miles northwest of Al Hudaydah, Yemen. The captain reported that five missiles were fired at the vessel, but none struck the vessel. All missiles hit the water in proximity to the vessel. No casualties were reported, and the ship continued transiting towards its next port call. Currently, the military authorities were investigating the attack on the vessel. The Houthis claimed attacking two vessels in the Red Sea, with the first one being the 'Delonix', which was attacked using ballistic missiles. Houthis referred to the vessel as American, though the ship is managed by the Greek Merman Maritime Co. The second vessel which was allegedly attacked was the 'Ioannis'(IMO: 9760158), using various uncrewed surface boats. The Houthi terrorists also claimed attacking the 'Waler' (IMO: 9393668) and 'Johannes Maersk' (IMO: 9215189) in the Mediterranean Sea, stating that the Denmark-registered containership was targeted because it is owned by Maersk, which as per Houthis, supports a Zionist entity and frequently violates the Houthis ban on visiting Israeli ports.

Tanker polluted Izmit waters

Sat Jun 10 19:26:52 CEST 2023 Timsen

During a patrol flight of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality with a seaplane in the Gulf of Izmit, it was observed that the 'Delonix', loaded with palm oil, polluted the sea. During the discharge of the tanker loaded with palm oil, palm oil was poured through the ventilation hole of the tanks first onto the deck and then into the water. The Metropolitan Municipality started cleaning works and informed the Turkish Environment Agency (TÜÇA) for the implementation of penal action on the tanker. After the evaluation by the TÜÇA, the penalty will be finalized. Report with photos: https://dogruhaber.com.tr/haber/937351-izmit-korfezini-kirleten-tanker-gemisi-havadan-goruntulendi/
