Allision and medevac in Kiel Canal

On July 13, 2011, the "Ines Bolten" allided with the lock wall of the Holtenau locks in the Kiel Canal and suffered damage. Afer the ship resumed its voyage westbound, a crewmember suffered hand injuries and was medevaced by the canal ferry "Landwehr" and taken to hospital in Kiel by ambulance.

The "Ines Bolten allided with the middle head of the Northern lock of the Kiel Canal at Brunsbuettel in the early morning of May 21, 2010, at 3.30 a.m. While the ship suffered only slight scratches, the concrete of the lock wall suffered damage. The ship was allowed to proceed after the incident was investigated and is acutally heading towards the Dutch coast.
