Tanker adrift off Lista
The 'Crystal Lavender' suffered an engine failure west of Farsund 40 miles SW of Lista l/h on Feb 11, 2020, around 8 p.m. while en route from Lisbon to Lyngdal. The tanker started to drift towards the coast. Three tugs were sent to assist. The tug 'FFS Athos' (IMO: 9714575) took the tanker in tow towards the Rosfjord where it was moored in pos. 58° 6.95' N 007° 3.24' E off Lyngdal on Feb 12 at 3.50 a.m. The offshore tug ‘FFS Amaranth‘ (IMO: 9161912) secured it on site. The tanker sailed again on Feb 25 and headed to Terneuzen.
