Medevac near Roquetas

On Nov 14, the 'Costa Diadema' requested the medical evacuation of a passenger. The ship was sailing south of Motril with winds of more than 30 knots. The SAR boat 'Salvarmar Spica' was tasked to take the patient off. The ships rendezvoused near Roquetas, where the boat went alingside on the port side, in the lee of the cruise ship. The passenger was disembarked along with a doctor and a nurse, and they were transferred to Almería.

Medevac off Skagen

On Sep 18 at 11.40 a.m. the rescue helicopter from Aalborg medevaced a patient from the 'Costa Diadema' off Skagen. The ship was on its way from Stavanger to Kiel. After the patient was hoisted aboard, he eflown to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Medevac in Balearic Sea

A passenger was medevaced from the 'Costa Diadema', en route from Malaga to Barcelona, on April 23, 2024, about 14.3 nautical miles from Peñon de Ifach. The ship had requested assistance after a passenger was suffering from respiratory problems. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 215, which hoisted the patient and took him to the Denia Firefighters heliport for further transfer to the hospital.
