Medevac off Estaca de Bares

On June 19, 23024, the 'Costa da Barca', which was located 17 nautical miles north of Estaca de Bares in the Bay of Biscay, requeste the medical evacuation of a crew member. The CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 401, which hoisted the victim and transported him to the Alvedro airport for further medical attention.

Trawler towed to Cariño

On April 10, 2024, the 'Costa da Barca' got the fishing gear entangled in the propeller and was disabled and adrift 10 nautical miles northnorthwest of Cape Ortegal. The ship requested assistance, and the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Shaula' was mobilized by the CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo. It took the trawler in tow and safely pulled it to Cariño. Disabled trawler towed to Muxia

The 'Costa da Barca' suffered engine problems, and requested towing assistance off northwest Spain in the evening of Feb 1, 2024. The CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo mobilised the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Altair', , which took the trawler in tow to the port of Muxia, where it was safely berthed at 11.40 p.m. GMT, the same day.
