Fire in cargo hold
On Aug 23, 2018 a dense smoke was detected in hold number 4 of the “COSCO Shipping Thames” during its voyage 6Ein the Malacca Strait. The crew activated the fire extinguisher system and now the fire was under control. It was unclear at this time whether cargo has been affected. On Aug 25 the ship berthed at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal in Singapore, having reached Singapore anchorage in the morning of Aug 24, after a safety check while at anchor.
