Tanker attacked off Brass
The "Hanze Kochi" was attacked by Nigerian pirates in the early morning of Sep 16, 2016, off Brass in the Gulf of Guinea. When the tanker was boarded by the intruders, the crew escaped into the citadel, later armed personnel freed the vessel. The tanker was en route from Port Harcourt, where it had sailed on Sep 15, to Lagos, and arrived at Lagos anchorage shortly after midnight on Sep 17.
