Bulkcarrier robbed by pirates
The "CK Bluebell" was attacked by pirates, in the South China Sea near Anambas Islands on July 22, 2019. Seven armed pirates boarded the ship and assaulted the crew. They escaped with $13,000 cash and personal belongings. The vessel sailed to its destination Incheon where it arrived on Aug 2.
Crew members injured in pirate attack
Several crew members suffered injuries such as bruises in the attack on the "CK Bluebell" in the morning of July 22, 2019, near the Singapore Strait”. The pirates, armed with guns and other weapons, had stolen roughly $13,000 in cash and valuables like laptops and smartphones. The ship was enroute from Santos to Incheon at the time of the assault which lasted 30 minutes, and had anchored off Singapore on July 20 and sailed on July 22, ETA July 31.
Korean bulk carrier attacked, robbed in South China sea
Seven pirates on a speedboat attacked Korean bulk carrier CK BLUEBELL early in the morning Jul 22, Korea’s Yonhap news agency said attack took place “near Singapore Strait”. Crew were robbed, pirates left the ship with thousands of dollars in cash, according to Yonhap.
