Chou Shan collided with boxship CMA CGM Florida, East China Sea

Capesize bulk carrier Chou Shan collided with boxship CMA CGM Florida in the morning Local Time Mar 19, off the mouth of Yangtze River in Yellow sea, details of the accident unknown. Boxship is said to be sailing from Yangshan to Busan and then to US. Bulk carrier is said to be sailing from China port, presumably Houlingcun. Both vessels suffered damages, CMA CGM Florida reported to suffer breaches in two holds, and in fuel tank, with some 650 tons of fuel leaking into the sea. AIS track indicates the collision took place some 140 miles NE of Shanghai at around 11:00 UTC Mar 19.
